Happy Samhain and Blessed Halloween, lovelies! I’m about to hop onto a plane for my biggest vacation of the year. Fingers crossed I survive it, since I’ve been very ill since mid-September.
Caught completely up on:
Plus, more Scandal!
Yours, Etc. letters written: 0, and now I’m tying up plot because I’ve accepted the fact that I’m just not well enough to participate in this LARP (and will be gone for a bit) before it ends in December. I’ll be removing this section of my monthly recap in future.
- I painted a secondhand typeset drawer and added a twine edge, to hold my perfume samples.
- I painted a wooden chest to hold my Lorcana cards (using fountain pen ink.)
- I created an air plant holder from a castoff tree branch I found in the yard.
- I made more minimalist Disney character ears for my upcoming Disney cruise.
- I made minimalist Disney character ornaments for my upcoming Disney cruise.
- I made Mickey Mouse ear hats for some cruising ducks, for my upcoming Disney cruise.
Somewhat depressingly, I’m learning how to manage with the latest progression of my illnesses. I don’t know if it’ll be somewhat temporary or a new (worse) era, but I’m working on accepting the limitations, researching accessibility aids for myself, and figuring out how to treat my new and worse symptoms as they occur. And doing that is helping me take advantage of the good days, without wiping myself out.
Okay STOP not just adorableness of Leilani, but of Walter too!?! I cannot take it! I am sorry you have been struggling so much, which I know we discussed at length but I will still reiterate. I hope the cruise has been amazing and I cannot wait for pictures! I am also very sorry about the LARP, but knowing limits is good too. Love the crafts! Kind of curious about Living For the Dead too, that sounds fun! Curious about The Whisperer too, I’d not heard of that one before!
Oh yeah, ALL of the dogs are adorable. It’s not fair. 😀
Thanks for the well wishes! It was good, though I was sick…and getting sicker. So there was plenty that I did but didn’t enjoy as much as I would’ve if I’d been well. Living for the Dead is silly, but it’s got heart and some really great one-liners. Plus, Kristen Stewart produced it and narrates the snarky intros. The Whisperer is a translated book, which may be why it was under your radar. I recommend it, though! I’m gonna try to review it this week.
