Many thanks to Shannon, for pointing me toward our friend Greg of Greg’s Book Haven, who pointed me toward a few other blogs with reading challenges, until I found this one. I was once a total nut for historical fiction, so I have a lot of it on my shelves. Mostly European, Early Modern (set in the Renaissance or Tudor periods) and American, Late Modern (mostly Victorian). I need to find and read some HistFic set in other continents- got any recs?
My goal is to read 1 from each option below, covering different settings, eras, and sub-genres (13+ books total).
The Books
Woot!! Awesome that you found one! Most of thse are new to me but i like the look of several. and the Falconer was one I wanted to read a few years back and never did- I think that one's set in scotland if I recall? Sold haha!
I'd love to read some Australian histfic or Pacific Asian.

Thanks, Greg! I think you're right about The Falconer. 🙂 Are you a set-in-Scotland fan? Have you read Quest for a Maid? One of my (old) favs.
And YES same about Australian or Pacific histfic! It's out there, I just don't have any on my shelves. But Australian histfic seems primarily around wartime, or British settlement…I'd be curious if there are any that delve in aboriginal tales.
