The Second Voyage

Phew, what a journey it’s been thus far! After it appeared only Cap’n Chelle ‘Devil’s Grin’ Thorne would be commandin’ the Spanish Main this month, several other pirate captains were spotted sailin’ from hidden coves and islands, amassing treasure, and earning a reputation near faster than I could write. When pirates make a showin’ of it, they truly turn out!

Captain’s Log

  • Cap’n Shannon Scurvyshorts made a bombastic appearance- sailing in on her own schooner, also flying a blue pirate flag, and boasting a treasure haul of 1,280 pieces of gold plus a bonus.
  • Cap’n Aster Blackwing‘s fearsome reputation has spread so fast, I heard of it before I even spotted her on her commandeered new schooner.
  • Cap’n Ellorie Wine made an impressive entrance this week, sailing a fully outfitted brigantine, flying a red flag (said to be colored by the blood of their enemies!) named The Drunken Strumpet, which be laden with 1,638 pieces of gold. Trailin’ being them was a sizable fleet of ships, as well.
  • Cap’n Winifred ‘White Hair’ Grail was spotted raising a white flag- not of surrender, but of piracy! Rumor has it they’ve 138 pieces of gold in their ship’s hold, acquired shortly after christening the vessel The Devil!
  • Never one to rest on their laurels, Cap’n Chelle ‘Devil’s Grin’ Thorne sacked a town and made off with 231 more pieces of gold. They then christened their schooner Siren Song, and raised a fleet to follow their blue flag.
  • Cap’n Aurelia Sherwood added 642 pieces of gold to their treasure chest and has a fearsome reputation almost rivaling that of Cap’n Blackwing now! I look forward to spotting their ship on the horizon soon.
  • The Dread Mermaid surprised us all with the largest brigantine I ever saw, trailing a seemingly endless line o’ ships in their fleet. Scuttlebutt says they also have a treasure horde of 1,047 pieces of gold.
  • And a new pirate has joined in with this lot! The Dread Nautilus has been sighted in taverns in port, but I know nothin’ of him, save the name. Who be this mysterious stranger?

Have ye been in the brig?
