When I asked Twitter friends and booknerds which of a stack of possible books I should read for this, the support for Sorcery of Thorns was immediate. And I can see why. While I didn’t love it, I really liked it: there were scenes that were moving (not just amusing); the romance is fun and spicy without being explicit; the concept of magical libraries and grimoires is fun; and the demon/magic connection was interesting.
