Another moving, lovely story. This was, in a way, more mature than Me Before You, as it focused on Louisa’s stepping up into more adult perspectives and sacrifices (and the fact that progress isn’t linear). Romantic love has a part in the narrative, but it was far less of a catalyst for her in this book than in the previous one.
